Current Progress
We have assembled our core team and began monthly meetings in 2019. We discuss the REAL issues that parents deal with in our community. Poverty, substance abuse, child neglect, unemployment, homelessness. This is an on-going experiment in community responsibility. We are a small group of about 20 people from diverse backgrounds. We know that families in our community need help. We know we must help.
We have successfully partnered with a number of families over the past several years. We work with only one family at a time in order to focus on their critical needs. It is our hope that we might begin to partner with members of the community to identify and then provide resources that might give these families a much-needed advantage. Our end goal being the development of a stronger, more independent family unit that can become self-sufficient.
