Examples of Tangible Hope
Mother of 3 elementary school children, victim of domestic abuse, no drivers license, no transportation, working 2 hours/day at a job within walking distance – donated clothing and furniture, identified that lack of transportation was preventing her from getting a better job. Located a local mechanic who was willing to sell her a reliable used car at a price she could afford. Helped her get her drivers license. She was able to get a full time job and was able to begin her journey toward Independence.
Mother of 3 living in a substandard housing situation. No heat, no beds for the children – Local furniture manufacturer donated 3 beds for the children, found donors of mattresses, bedding, curtains and space heaters.
Grandmother raising teenage grandson, No Heat/AC, serious plumbing issues, no washer/dryer, non-functioning water heater – Located washer/dryer donation, arranged delivery and hook up, MBA offered to buy a water heater, local business offered to Install water heater, local business supplied and installed used heat/ac unit.
Family of 4 takes on 3 more children who were removed from their “home”. Needed additional beds, clothing, furniture to accommodate the additional children – Made an appeal to local community members through MBA and received donations of beds, bedding, clothing, sofa. Also, community members and local non-profit organizations donated money to help with additional expenses.
Family of 4 relocated with no household goods, furniture – Appealed to community and located beds, mattresses, dining table, sofa, household/kitchen supplies
Family experiencing difficulty after cancer diagnosis. One parent undergoing treatment, the other having to provide care and unable to work full time, we provided needed assistance with fuel gift cards since the treatment was in WS
Newly relocated family 4 children– beds, mattresses, sofa, recliner, bedding,
Family of 4 (referral from MBA) – Dining table, chairs, clothing for 3 children
We currently maintain a partnership with the Maiden Police Department, Maiden Business Association, all of the local schools, and several local businesses and organizations..

Join our email list. We only send email appeals when we have received an active request for assistance.
Consider what your organization/business might have to offer in terms of “resources”. This does not always mean money.
Accounting firm? Free or reduced cost tax prep, budget planning?.
Auto repair? Free oil change, reduce fee mechanical evaluation, comp an Inspection fee?
Financial advisor? Family financial planning review?
Barber shop/Salon? Free haircuts for children?
Local service companies? Free or reduced fee repair evaluations?
Restaurant? Free emergency meal for family?
Grocery store?
Dental/Medical/Vision? Free children’s exam, Health counseling, assistance finding medical resources?
Churches/Members? What resources could you offer, referrals of familles in need?
Real Estate? Guidance/resource Identification for families in need?
